Winners of the competition were announced on Saturday 24 October 1-4 pm at Otway Estate.

Background Information
Otways Tourism is hosting its 2nd annual photographic competition, in co-operation with Colac Camera Club.
The competition is open to all. Entries are digital, and can be taken any time in the period September 2008 to the closing date - 14 18 September 2009.
As encouragement to high quality photography in the Otways Tourism region, all shots are to be taken within the highly attractive Colac Otway Shire, which includes the most spectacular part of the Great Ocean Road. See the map showing the area and some places of interest.
PRIZES
There is a valuable set of prizes including a total of $1000 in cash, and over $3000 worth of tourism prizes such as accommodation. Best in competition is awarded a cash prize of $500.

Judging will be carried out in accordance with usual photographic society guidelines.
All entries will be digital, submitted on CD, and there will be a small entry fee. See the Entry Details page for detailed conditions.
Entries will be accepted from1 July 2009. Awards and prizes will be presented on Saturday October 17th 2009, at which shortlisted entries will be displayed in digital and print form. An electronic catalogue will be sent to all entrants. See the Calendar for all dates.
Workshops
Want to learn a bit more about phototgraphy, spend some time with like minded phototographers or learn from experts?
There will be information packed workshops available for interested photographers in the lead up period between June and October 2009, including expert information on interesting locations for photography. We will email updates closer to the time giving details.
Competition Theme
The competition theme is Iconic Tourism in The Otways.
ENTRY CATEGORIES
| Landscape/ Seascape |
Ilustrating the natural beauty in landscapes or seascapes of the Otways Tourism area. |
| Rural/ Agriculture |
Ilustrating interesting aspects of farmed areas that may be less visible than higher profile tourism areas. |
| Natural History |
For striking photographs of flora and fauna in their natural setting, without people or artificial settings. For example, but not limited to, Koalas and local birds |
| Action Tourism |
The intent of the Action Tourism category is to encourage a wide range of dynamic shots showcasing tourism. This might include people and/ or animals and/ or local settings in Otway Tourism. |
| Showing the World |
The intent of the Showing the World category is to contribute high quality images from the Otways Tourism area onto the Panoramio geographically indexed website. A selected number of images will migrate over time onto Google Earth and Google Maps, thereby becoming visible to viewers from all over the world. More on Panoramio |
| Junior |
The Junior section is for entrants aged under 18 at the closing date. Can enter all categories, but there is one separate prize for best junior entry and runner up. |
